Biography

Ethan Grussgott is a drummer based out of Jacksonville Florida. He currently is a senior at The University of North Florida, Majoring in Jazz studies under the tutelage of the great Danny Gottlieb. During Ethan’s freshman year at UNF, he was a part of 7 ensembles including JE1 and Combo 1. He has also been awarded with The Wayne Barlow Scholarship through the Jacksonville Jazz society and the Jeep McCoy Scholarship through the North East Florida Jazz Association. While in college Ethan has gotten the privilege to perform with Jamison Ross, Marquis Hill, Micheal Mossman, Joe Martin, Longineu Parsons, Joel Frahm, Bob Reynolds, and many other notable artists. Ethan has been playing drums professionally for several years and has performed with many groups throughout Florida and Georgia. During this time Ethan has been fortunate to play with people such as Melanie Marod, James Hogan, Dennis Marks, Scott Giddens, Thomas Milovac, Lynne Arriale, Joshua Bowlus, Stan Piper and several more. After graduating with his bachelor's degree from UNF, Ethan plans to pursue a master’s degree.
